How nice of Apple! I got mine free with my iPad 2 but if it broke I'd be more than happy to pay the $30 for another!
-
aren't all the Apple products overpriced?!?!
-
yes, way over priced
-
I paid $10.00 for a 6ft cord on Amazon, does the same damn thing. You'd be nothing more than a fool to pay $30 for this piece of equipment.
-
Unless that cord came with the official power adapter then I think you've got the wrong end of the cord ;)
-
$30 is too much for a charger. Maybe they should of made it gold plated too.
-
Im fine with it got like 4 of them from previous iPhones never had one go bad.

The iPhone charger (especially the UK one) is significantly smaller than anything comparable: nearly half the size of a generic 5v/1A charger such as you'd get with a third-party iPhone/Wiimote/Move dock.If the charger has to go somwhere people will see it, I'd happily pay the Apple Tax.If it doesn't, samsung charger, four resistors, and a USB A socket.

One of the lynchpins of Steve Jobs’ design philosophy was detailed attention to what you don’t see. This charger is a prime example and as such, I don't mind paying for it. You pay for what you get in this world and Apple's quality and design is worth the price to me.

If u cant afford Apple then settle for a lame ass Android.... Peace
-
And get off this site as well... Losers
-
eh, well at least this article is better than all the "4 inch screen" rumors and "leaked home button" info.
-
Is this talking about the cord? If so, me and the family have gone through at least 4 of them. Same goes to most my friends. All of them ripped. In my opinion they are cheaply built and you are better of with third party chargers that I have no issue with so far.
-
they're talking about the wall charger not the cord.
-
That would be giving actual value to the customer rather than just jacking the prices.
-
No it's just you who are underpaid
-
$30 for a charger made in China, I'd pay $5.

Jeez, It's amazing that people don't actually READ the article and UNDERSTAND what they are saying.1. The Apple charger is better designed than most chargers.2. It is built from better parts, regardless if it was made in China.3. Apple went beyond required safety standards.4. Apple went beyond to provide less interference with attached devices. And I have bought knock-off chargers that look JUST LIKE Apple's charger from the dollar store. Many have malfunctioned, failed or overheated. You get what you pay for...

Hahaaa, well spoken.See you at the wine and cheese at country club later.
