gTar: iPhone-Powered Guitar Aims to Make it Easier For Anyone to Play Music
gTar is an interesting new Kickstarter project that launched at TechCrunch Disrupt earlier today.
gTar is a fully digital guitar that makes innovative use of Apple's iPhone and an array of LEDs along the fretboard to make it easy for anyone to play the guitar by reducing the learning curve.
Matt Burns of TechCrunch explains how it works:

Pretty cool idea, this will catch on! Wished they made the guitar look a little bit more cool though, all black or all white...but that will happen in the future

that's cool!!!

Was this on Shark Tank recently? I remember something like this where it teaches you how to play guitar by lighting up the strings like that.

Cool... but come on 400 dollars!!!!

I'd rather save another $50 and get an iPad but very nice idea

Almost as uncool as the Guitar Hero toys ;p

That's awesome. I was trying to learn to play the guitar about 4 months ago and had a bit of trouble, things got busy and haven't gotten back to it yet. This looks like it would help a ton in my learning. Giving me a easier way to k ow where to put my fingers would be awesome. I just wish I had monkey fingers, using the guitar feels very unnatural to me :/
