Patent applications and rumors in the past have pointed to the existence of an iPad with dual dock connectors, and today, via an eBay listing, we know that Apple indeed manufactured such iPad prototypes in a small quantity before the actual launch.

all i see is why the pics have some parts covered with photoshop? like logo or model? i really dont think its a prototype, otherwise apple logo will show somewhere and it wont be covered

people who bid, obviously want a unique piece of technological history.while it's quite expensive (especially given the condition it's in), i can totally understand why people would bid/buy.for a collector, this is a great oppertunity to add something special to their collection.
