Cricket Wireless to Offer Apple's iPhone With Prepaid Plan On June 22nd
Cricket Wireless has just announced that it will start offering Apple's iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 on its network from June 22nd.
Cricket Wireless will be the first carrier in the US to sell Apple's iPhone with prepaid plans.

Virgin mobile is prepaid too and has the iPhone.

Sorry, that was in Australia.

While straight talk doesn't offer the iphone, you can buy a gsm iphone, order the AT&T micro sim from straight talk, which in turn is a much better value than this. You can generally get a 4S off craigslist for 300-400, then straight talk is 45 a month or less if you buy in bigger blocks. And the service is AT&T so much better than Cricket.

Poor Tmobile

Why go Virgin? You'll need to be able to find a service area to be able to use the included credit.

Cricket service is a junk

I'd rather pay the extra $150 and buy an unlocked GSM iphone and go with Straighttalk for $45 and have the ability to use on any GSM network as opposed to Cricket's $55 a month plan and be stuck with them forever. Spending the extra money means you can jump ship if and when you find a better deal. Cricket would have to sweeten the deal by lowering the monthly plan rates or a less expensive subsidized iphone. If CDMA carriers started activating iphones from other carriers I'd might consider it, but until then I'll think I'll pass.

is the cricket 4S going to be unlocked? or more like a Verizon 4S that can only be unlocked for use overseas..
