Redsn0w, PwnageTool With iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak Support & Ultrasn0w For iOS 5.1.1 Released [Updated]
iPhone Dev team has just released a new version of Redsn0w and PwnageTool, which includes Rocky Racoon and untethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak developed by pod2g and planetbeing that was used in Absinthe 2.0.x jailbreak.
If you were having problems jailbreaking your iOS device with Absinthe 2.0.x then you could try again using Redsn0w 0.9.12b1.

Just tried the jailbreak on Iphone 4 5.1.1. In DFU mode and in ITUNEs mode both failed. Got a error 2000 during the backup process. This was on a vista machine and I ran it as administrator. Any advice?

I restored my phone to factory condition then jailbrake worked the sync with my iTunes all working now

I just go the same error, but simply ran redsn0w again and it worked.BTW, as far as I know redsn0w 0.9.12b1 doesn't require putting the device in DFU mode to jailbreak, as it is based on the current Absinthe/Rocky Racoon method. I've jailbroken two 3GS phones and one iPad 3 and none of them required it. Good luck!

I can confirm Ultrasn0W 1.2.7 works!I Installed before a fix for 5.1.1 from repo.iparelhos.com. I feel that Ultasn0w 1.2.7 is better since i feel i get better signal.Can someone confirm as me?

I've got a 3GS running 5.0, if I create a custom IPSW with redshow/pwnage will I keep the same baseband and allow me to unlock?

I had to restore the phone and then run Redsnow. Jailbreak took seconds and I am now reloading my apps!

I installed Cydia and got that to work...however now when I go into the Cydia app and try to install past packages, I get an error that says: Note: Cannot Locate Package. I cannot load any previously purchased packages. Is anyone else running into this problem, and if so, were you able to fix it and how??!!!Thanks!!!

when i try to install an app from the "app store", it ways "cannot connect to iTunes store".
