What I don't get is how they can sell the iphone for only $149. I bought my ipod touch for $225 on ebay in August. Man if this is true I will be so mad. This always happens to me. I buy some cool new technology and then the price drops significantly.

Ehudwill, dude, you should get used to that, electronics are advancing so fast, and componets prices are dropping prices even faster. Its like CPU's you buy the latest one month for $600 and the next month something better came out for that same price, and what you paid $600 is now $400!

Ehudwill, the iPhone is being subsidized by at&t first and then more by costco (because they make commission on phone sales from the provider) in order to do this. There is no incentive for them to subsidize the iPod Touch as there is no monthly charge to own a Touch. Btw, the full retail value of the iPhone is estimated to be $600, but it's not available yet at full retail.
