    Finally, but its quite poor form on Google's part to think of releasing the iOS version after finding out Apple's new Maps app is just round the corner.

    Anyways, it's great news for us, as ultimately we as consumers will benefit from Google and Apple's rivalry.

    I love new tech and this looks gorgeous. But when will I need this functionality? Does it really help when using it for guidance getting from point A to B? In such a case there are other aspects more important than the visual representation of the surroundings.

    So, when do I need this except for virtual location browsing? It will only be available for the biggest cities and most densly populated areas anyway.

    Ok, I appreciate a glimpse of what my kids might have good use for when their devices are 10x faster and less power hungry.
