You really can't brick your iPhone forever. If things go horribly wrong, you can always put your iPhone in DFU mode and restore it. You should also take precautions of backing up your iPhone so that you can restore from the backup in case you have to restore it. -
I have been jail breaking my phones since the 3G. I have never nor have I heard of someone actually bricking their iPhone.
Always backup your phone before you begin and you are always just a restore away from being where you were before you started.
The guys that create these jailbreak won't release them until they are quite literally as simple as possible.
There are too many essential tweaks that I use that I don't use my phone without a jailbreak. -

biteSMS allows you to add a delay of up to 3 seconds (biteSMS Settings) while sending a messaging, during this time you have an option to stop the message from being sent. -

Thinking about jail breaking again. I had my phone crash after installing a theme. I initially jbked with jailbreak me. What's is the best and easiest option for jailbreak now? I know I have been living under a rock but I thought I wouldn't jb anymore.

Mail Enhancer allows multiple signatures. I use both a "business" email and a "personal" one. I have 2 completely different signatures, each assigned to the appropriate account. When I compose a new email, Mail Enhancer attaches the correct signature. Why can't Apple think of these things????

Thank you! I havent updated to 5.1.1 yet but I see that I can go ahead and do that now. Is there any andvantage to using one or the other (redsn0w/absinthe)? -

A fun, albeit it frivolous, tweak I personally love is Zeppelin. It allows you to change your "Carrier name" in the status bar to any number of symbols. I'm currently using the Red Bull logo, but there are several to choose from in the tweak itself, plus packages of add-ons available on Cydia. -

2. Manual Correct Pro (it is so useful for non-english user)

@Paul NCSettings is not as feature rich as SBSettings, but but must admit it looks pretty sleek. We will add it to the noteworthy apps and tweak list.

@luisch80 we have added the warning ... while we didn't notice any Springboard crashes in iOS 5.1.1 ... it seems to occasionally go in an unusable state .. we're not sure if it is compatibility issues with iOS 5.1.1 or due to IntelliScreenX.
