Redsnow ramdisk!!!

Hey guys i have an activated iphone 4 factory unlocked. can i use ramdisk method and then jailbreak.. i am asking this beacuse in front of the ramdisk it say s this method is mandatory if u have an unactivated iphone.. can i use this method on a factory unlocked and activated iphone.. Plzz help will be very much appreciated!!!!!

factory unlocked devices are the same as unactivated because they are not tied to one carrier
