iPhone 4S Jailbreak w/Cydia question

Hi all. I'm hoping this is in the right forum but I have a question.
I am running 5.1.1 on my 4s (I didn't update to the 6) jailbroken with Redsn0w. My question is how (if) I can save my downloaded apps from Cydia before I update to ios6 and jailbreak that or when I download 6 then jailbreak I lose it all?
Also would like to know if I back up my photo's, music, etc to iCloud will I be able to put all that back on after I jailbreak 6?

You will lose all your jailbreak apps and tweaks that you have installed from Cydia when you update to iOS 6.1.
You will however not lose your photos, music etc when you update to iOS 6.1, but it is always a good practise to take a backup of your iPhone with iTunes or iCloud before upgrading.
After you have upgraded to iOS 6.1, you can use evasi0n jailbreak to jailbreak your iPhone 4S.

You can then reinstall your jailbreak apps and tweaks from Cydia.
Alternatively, you can also use PkgBackup to take a backup of the installed apps and tweaks and makes it very easy to reinstall them.
