Video Transfer Sideloading Advice

I've been struggling with finding a good way to get video from my Airport Exchange (SMB) to a video player app on my jailbroken iPad. I've experimented with a couple of video players (VLC, AvplayerHD) and experimented with pushing via SSH from my mac or pulling via a video player app, but nothing seems to be a good or elegant solution. Does anyone have any suggestions?
