help one of my apps can only be opened in safe mode, normal mode results in the app crashing

i have a free non-cracked app from the app store that has always worked on my jailbroken phone, until i updated it from the app store. now when it launches the splash screen comes up then crashes before the game starts to load. not too long ago there was another app in the appstore i had tried everything else so i gave it a shot and updated again, but it didn't work. after updating to ios 6.1.2 i found that it runs perfectly as long as i'm in safe mode. i have a 3gs jailbroken on ios 6.1.2 any fixes, ideas, or suggestions? heck even guesses and long shots are better than nothing.
