Found an Iphone want to find the owner

Is there a way to get past the PIN code on the phone so i can look in contacts etc to find the owner ? I know little about iphones so explain it the easy way :P

    Very kind of you to want to return. I believe if you connect the phone to itunes, the user's info will show such as their number. Take the phone to the carrier store and let them know and they probably can return the phone back to the owner.
