Does Airdrop work on iPhone 5?

I was under the impression that it does NOT (only works on 5s & possibly 5c), but today I was at BestBuy and they had an iPhone 5 set up with iOS7 and it DID have airdrop on there. I wasn't able to test it out, to see if it actually works. I don't know if the button was just there because of iOS7 and it doesn't actually work, but with how anal Apple is, I'd assume if it doesn't work, they wouldn't even have the button.

Yes it works with iPhone 5. You need the devices on the same Wi-Fi network for it to work.
