Bypass disabled screen on iPhone 4 with out losing any data!!

Hi
What I need to do is somehow bypass the disabled screen and retrieve all the previously stored data (pictures, contacts, notes, messages, etc...) on my iPhone 4 with out losing any of it.
The phone has not been backed up before (so a restore is not an option), and I have tried many approaches to this, but was always halted at the disabled screen.
I now have root access to the phone, hoping I can find the "PhoneSetupDone file" and delete it to fool the phone to thinking that the phone hasn't had its initial setup yet, and therefore allow me through the disabled screen. But I have not been able to do that yet. I got this idea from bypassing passwords for Macs.
Also, tools like iFunBox have not been able to access the phone because of the disabled screen.
I would greatly appreciate any help or insight you might have on the matter.
