Ipad 3 IOS 5.1.1 upgrade to IOS 7.0.4 Advice

Hi All,
I am looking for some advice, I have an Ipad 3 running IOS 5.1.1 that has been Jailbroken (Cydia give lots of errors now) and I want to update it to IOS 7.0.4.
But I have a few questions:
Should I just back up the Ipad with ITunes or something else as well?
Will I loose any of the installed apps, photos, emails, e-books, etc.
Will I have to, or should I re-install anything else after Jailbreaking?

Backup only stuff you need (some of those apps may cause errors)
Upgrade to 7.0.4
Restore from your backup
Jailbreak with Evasi0n
Install **** iOS7+ in cydia to enjoy your cracked apps.
That's it! you will not loose anything (except errors you're getting now) All info, photos, contacts, passwords will be saved.
