Problems after Jailbreaking Iphone 5 IOS 7.0.4 with swipe down search

Hi All,
Recently jailbroke my Iphone 5 and havn't had any issues except that when I swipe down from the home screen and try to search for an app my phone crashes and boots into safemode. Other than the updates Cydia downloaded after I installed the jailbreak and BiteSMS Beta I haven't really got anything else on the phone. I already tried uninstalling bite to see if it was that, but it didn't help.
I have an Ipad third gen with the jailbreak installed on the same IOS version and am not having issues. Has anyone else with an Iphone 5 experienced this issue?
Thanks

It sounds like an issue with a jailbreak app you've installed. Did you install a repo?

I did but it was just the beta BiteSMS repo for the iOS 7 app. I've already tried removing BiteSMS and the repo with no luck. The only other app I've tried to install was a ringtone app but it failed during install, I suppose it could be that but since it didn't install I can't uninstall it. I'm thinking I might re-jailbreak and try again

... Although I just read in the Cydia installer update notes for version 1.1.9 that "some things about this build are "not quite right" including the dropbar..." Perhaps they are referring to the issue I'm seeing?

I have jailbroken my iPhone 5 with evasi0n7 and don't have the issue you're reporting so it certainly seems to be an issue with a tweak that you have installed.
Go to the Manages tab and then tap on Packages to review the tweaks installed on your device. -
After some more googling I found a post that mentioned winter board might be causing this issue. I uninstalled it and my search is working again.

Try to remove Winterboard. 100% work.
