Hi Guys,

Recently i bought a Iphone 5 from canada which is locked to Telus network. I bought it through deals2buy. I need to unlock the phone. Could some one plz help me to fix this. One more thing, seems this mobile is not yet activated i.e can't able to login to home screen. is there is any online site where we can pay and unlock the mobile or do we need to carrier sim to activate the mobile first and unlock it. please suggest...

There is no software based solution to unlock iPhone 5, and I highly doubt it will be released in the near future as there has been no news on that front. You need to look for IMEI based unlocking solutions.

You can only activate your device if you put a SIM card from the official iPhone carrier, Telus in this case. So after you unlock your device using the IMEI based solution, you should be able to activate it with a nano-SIM from any carrier.

Thanks alan77.. I'm looking for IMEI unlock only. Heard that telus server is down for the past one month. And also i dont have the sim card with me :( Is there is any other way to activate it and unlock the mobile?
