Evasion 7 is not working keep getting error message

i have tried downloading the file for mac to jail break my iphone 5 but everytime i finish downloading i open the file and get this error message
"evassion 7 cannot opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer to make sure evasion 7 works with this version of Mac OS X. you may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X."
i am running Mac OS X version 10.6.8 and downloaded evasion 7.1.0.3
