Dev Team announced yesterday that their updated tools for iPhone OS 3.0 will work with iTunes 8.2.

guys let me first appreciate your efforts on updating users about iPhone jailbreaking hacks.
Well, i am new user of iPhone, i just bought iPhone 3G, (my first experience with iPhone family). I was surprised to see that to which Apple call a revolutionary phone is not infact revolutionary, it is without bluetooth for file sharing and without video making ability.
made me quite irritated. but after reading information on your site i came to know that we can crack iphone 3g down and install 3rd party softwares, like ibluetooth etc.
But i cannot get it how we are suppose to do, i am confused by reading information what are these terms as :

QuickPwn
jailbreaking
cydiato b honest i dont know how to jailbreak, i just bought i phone 3g with firmware 2.2 and have upgraded to latest OS 3.0.
Can you please guide me how can i jail break it and install applications like iblutooth and all.. pleaseeeeee it will be very kind of you...

this is a great news so far from DEV Team. Thanks for the hard work. If I don't want to upgrade to 3.0 is there anyway to unlock for the 2.2.1 bb 02.30.03? cuz I heard the old apps for the iphone will not work with 3.0.

if you using windows then you have to use quickpwn to jail break your Iphone. After you jailbreak your iphone there will be an icon for cydia which you can use through wifi to download repositories to unlock your iphone or to download third party apps. There's a link on top to show you how to jailbreak. and hacks your iphone, or tips and tricks. Hope this bit of explanation help.

Can someone please help me out here. I've been sucked into using the beta versions of the 3.0 OS and I know how to downgrade back to 2.2.1 and all.
Im using the GM seed of 3.0 so when I upgrade to the real release later will I be able to unlock and jailbreak?
Cause if not then this phone is gonna be boring.

Great news! I'll be anxiously awaiting for 3.0 to hit the iTunes store and get started. I'm in Europe right now using a piggy back sim, and while it has worked fairly well for me, I can't wait to get Ultrasn0w up and running.

its 12:45pm June 17 here in Ontartio and my itunes still says to update to 2.2.1, im still on 2.1..
my ? is do i have to update it to 2.2.1 before i can get the 3.0??

You need to update iTunes I dont know about 2.2.1 i think thats already included in the 3.0

The jailbreak of course continues to work on 3.0 for all devices it ever worked on, thanks due the Pwnage 2.0 technique released last summer.Now does this mean that my current jailbreak works with the update? It seems like it does but i don't want to risk it.
I'm a little confused. So if anyone knows please pass on info. In a nice way. No douches.

I am confused by this, also.
But in a little different situation.
I have an iPhone 3g, running 3.0 fw.
Previously running 2.2.1 firmware/jailbroken.
Then I restored it, updated iTunes to 8.2 and am now running 3.0 fw.
How can I jailbreak it?

So much for the release shortly after apple release there update! I read the have 2 issues, one they have sorted, the other being youtube doesn't work! I gotta say, i can live without youtube as long as i have the jailbreak! I knew i should have waited to update to 3.0, i miss my own wallpaper and things!

I just restored my iphone so I could upgrade my Iphone to OFW 3.0.
None of my apps work and I dont know if I should jail break with Quick Pwn and Iphone OFW 3.0 Beta 5 or just sit tight to be replied?
I don't want to jail break my iphone with a unooficial version or an old version I want the latest one.

I'd jailbreak my Iphone in a heartbeat without YouTube. I can always go to my pc. Someone also mentioned some Jailbreak app that was better than the supplied YouTube App but I didn't catch the name of it.
