-
My iPhone is doing all of those. How can I fix it ?
-
my iphone also experience all of that and extremely slow
-
That's wierd I haven't had a single problem on my 3.1 3GS.
-
The only thing that heppend to me and it only happened once, was it seemeded to be shut down...
I just started pusing the home button, then the on button... not at the same time... nothing happened, so I put it in my pocket until I left the store to check it, and then it responded.
It was like paused for a while with a black screen...
If anything, these problems wont speed up a new version, but will most likely postpone it more for testing. Maybe they will throw a quick fix out there, but then will most likely have to test the next version thoroughly..

Portuguese iphone 3Gs user and i am experiencing all of those.
-
I have 3gs and so far I haven't had any of those issues.
-
The only problem im experiencing is the battery life.
-
At first i was facing the problem with slow response of the slider after i did a fresh installation to 3.1 it solve that problem accept for the battery life.
-
My GPS is dead after 3.1 I have a 3G. Me thinks I'm getting a 3GS
-
I was having trouble with my iphone 3g 8gb turning off randomly. I restored my phone but did not restore it from a back up. I restored it as a new phone and haven't had any problems since then. This may work for some of you also.

My iPhone did the random shut down thing. I called Apple Care, and they replaced my 16GB 3G with no problem. For whatever reason, I've had no problems with this replacement phone. The guy at Apple Care said that they're studying the problem and are well aware.

notice that my iphone runs SLUGGISH now. the email software CRASHED. never seen it before. had to reboot to get it back to normal. didn't really pay much attention to battery life but noticed i'm charging it more often than before now.
-
My battery lie was reduced by approx. 25%. Can barely make it thru the day and I'm a light user!
slamr
-
so weird to hear that from an angel
-
only a couple time shut off randomly, and then no more prob, battery yes, its still an issue, non of the other things tho
-
nothing wrong here on 3.1 3gs.....
-
This is why I'm sticking to 3.0 for now.
-
it suck all the updates suck, DO NOT UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE as far as i know 3.0 works fine
-
Has anyone noticed these same issues on 3.0.1? I haven't had the time to upgrade just yet, however my 3gs is having all of these issues. This started 3 days ago with the battery drain. Another thing I noticed, for instance is my battery life will be at 30%, I'll then lock the screen and a few moments later log back it and it will be at 90%. Today it showed 20% battery life, I attempted to receive a call and it shut down like it was dead. Plugged it into the wall charge, and powered it back up...now showing 60% charged. What the heck is going on?

I have no problem after upgrading both of my iPhones 3g and 3gs.
I first upgraded iTunes to iTunes 9 and then upgraded both my
iPhones from 3.0.1 to 3.1. Actually I find it better than 3.0.1.
iPhones are now not heating as like 3.0.1. Both 3.0 and 3.1 looks
better than 3.0.1 -
I updated my Iphone 3G from 3.0 to 3.1
I used PwnageTool to Jailbreak it, and then unlocked it with Ultrasn0w. Everything went fine, except for a few of things. My Battery is going down about 10% every hour. This is with everything off (3g, edge, wifi, location, push email).
I have exeprienced some crashes from Cydia when 'reloadind data'
There is no carrier Text, only the signal bar. In General - About, it says NEtwork Unavailable, but the phone works fine.
Winterboard no longer works, as well as things like AppBackup.
I am starting to think I should have held off. The main possitive is that it does seem much faster.
-
both my wife and my iPhone's are slow as $hit right now. Interesting thing is that I upgraded mine to the most recent firmware to date and she has NOT. BUT, her phone is acting slow just like mine. Not only DROPPING every single call, but the unlock slider is slow, keyboard response is slow. everything is slow. this is ridiculous given the amount of money we dish out for this $hit.
-
Upgraded my 3G Wed with PwnageTool and haven't experienced none of the problems mentioned in fact I think it's faster then 3.0.1, texting is a lot quicker and phone more responsive overall. Battery life seems better also and now I don't have to turn BT off twice.
The only problem I have is with the carrier logo not showing up, but that's easily sorted with a Jailbreak app from Cydia.

Yes, mine is an Iphone 3GS.
Just experienced the shut down problem last night.
The screen went black and no matter how I did the hard reset for
5mins, it couldn't turn on.
Tried connecting to iTunes, after fumbling for 2 mins, the apple logo
suddenly turn on and I did a backup and syncing.
Hope Apple will look into these matters and get them resolve quickly. -
I haven't updated, thankfully, because I'm on a 3GS and was waiting for the jailbreak tools to be released. But I'm very concerned now - if I run into a problem and need to restore, I'm screwed as I'll be forced to upgrade. NOT good.
-
I updated from 3.0.1 to 3.1 jailbreak using pwnagetool yesterday. What a disaster.
I have all of the problems above and:
1. Google Sync flakiness, works occasionally, every 2 hours I have contacts then I don't
2. SLOW backups (up to 1.5 hours) just to backup the phone one day later.Being an Apple fan, I upgrade to everything and rearely get screwed. This is one bad apple. Avoid 3.1this at all cost.

Downgrade to 3.0.1 and wait for 3.1.1 and save yourself hours of frustration and keep a usable phone.
