I have a 3GS that is not jailbroken. It has the 3.0 OS. This dev team 3.1 JB solution will not work for me since 3.0 is no longer signed by Apple and a restore is necessary in order to update to 3.1. This is what I've gathered from these articles. Can someone please confirm that I'm S.O.L. until the Geohot solution arrives. I'm tired of my factory iPhone. It feels like having a Ferrari with a Ford Focus engine.

bro u can use redsnow to jailbreak which does not make u rstore ur iphone. It is just a jailbreak. After ur done jailbreaking ur 3.0 fw u can use pwange to restore ur iphone with custom firmware made from pwange. It is nothing to do with the 3.0 fw not signed by apple in ur scenario.

You can JB 3.0 ive done it. You have to download fw 3.0 ipsw, shitt/restore on itunes and copy ipsw. Jailbreak using. Redsnow.

my 3GS is jailbroken but in other jailbreaks usually I have to do it more than once for it actually to work. So my question is what happen if it doesn't work the first time and you have to do it again by restoring your phone back to factory settings?

Idk if I want to upgrade to 3.1 I got 3.0 jailbroken with teathering and it's running great with no problems or slowness, what's the advantage with getting the 3.1 jailbreak? U think it's gonna have all the damn problems I have been reading about?
BTW I know I can't spell, not because I'm stupid it's because of the tahishian fruit I'm smokyn -
MMS and some other "bugs" are fixed. like the phishing and supposed battery life issue.

Nots as of yet but people are working on it. The biggest problem is getting around the baseband, if thats possible. 3.1 updated the baseband on the phone which meand finding a new way around it or finding a new way to work with it, which mean time spent testing A LOT of different software to do this.

I successfully jailbroke my 3g after upgrading to stock 3.1 and losing my
3.0 jailbreak....works fine,have signal and auto activation....however my base band is still upgraded to 3.1's.....my question is, will this version being released allow for unlock?? -

RELAX! we are not paying for this so chill its not like these guy are getting rich doing this for US they could just walk away.

Why do people keep saying you need 3.1 to get MMS when it is actually enabled through the carrier setting update that AT&T released last month?I'm more worried about all the bugs on 3.1 than phishing which I can deal with.
