so, 3.1.2, as well as a carrier update are available for download through iTunes, should i download either of them??

people,,,do this,,,sell your phone on ebay and buy a factory unlocked iphone,,,j.b wil always be out there,but unlock software,,well apple will always be on top of the hackers.

Just go out and buy a Mac, jailbreak your iPhone, and then return the Mac like I did. Best Buy is great!!

Shift restored in iTunes to 3.0 version(do not put phone in dfu/recovery mode)..../just restore while plugged to iTunes. You will get a 1015 error at end..just close iTunes. Then open redsn0w and jailbreak following instructions...congrads, you just jailbroke 3g on 3.1.

ok so i have an ipone 3GS and when i bought it it had the firmware 3.0.1 and i jailbroke it.. but it froze and the only way i could fix it was if i restored it from itunes and upgraded to 3.1.. will i ever be able to jailbreak my phone.. i dont care about unlocking it...?
