I bought a 16gb unlocked iphone, last month mistakenly i updated it through itunes and it locked again.I want to unlock it with out paying anything. Can any one suggest me what to do. It would be appriciated.Plz Help me....

i have a iphone 3g and i maked a mistake when i was updating firmware 3.1.2 and its locked yet but i cant unlock this iphone so if this work for windows users let me know that i tried to unlock the iphone with redsnow and other things but helpless :S so help please -
Can I go from 3.0.1 with modem firmware 4.26.08 to 3.1.2 with Pwnage 3.1.4.

I have followed all the instructions and my phone is broken and unlocked, but when I put my SIM in it says 'No Service.' If I go to the settings I cannot get a list of carriers it just reverts to 'automatic.'
Anyone got the answer? -

which itunes version should be used to unlock 3.1.2? thank you.

You can only run the pwnage tool on a mac, I'm not sure if an emulator will work. Once you do that and build the custom ipw file then you can take that file over to a pc and use that to restore to your iphone. You must use the shift key when restoring, follow the instructions above word for word and your phone will be jailbroken.

I found out I that I had to upgrade when I tride to get a app. From iTunes it said I needed 3.0 or higher I don't have a mac and don't no annyone that does I called At&t and asked them what was the beast way and how to up grade he said about 12 min. I have a iphone3G running 3.1.2. I followed the above instructions and added the bundle Phone1,2_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw in seperate folder on the desktop however when I run pwnage and browse for ipsw error comes up saying wrong bundle chosen after I select it in the folder. HELP!!!!

How long does it take for pwnagetool to put ur iphone into dfu mode? I have been waiting over 15mins and its still saying its trying to put it in dfu mode. Does the phones need to be off before or on?

I brought back my iphone from Australia. With a little work, I unlocked it and set it up to work here in the states, then while connected to Itunes, i accidentally upgraded to 3.12 and the phone stopped working (doh!) - internet is fine. I just used the pwnage tool but my firmware is 05.11.07 and not the 04.26.08. However, my version is 3.12 (7D11). Can I go directly to UltraSn0w and unlock it then take to AT&T get the phone working again?

I assume that if you have already officially updated to 3.1.2, cannot jailbreak because modem firmware is already 05.11.07. Since I had already updated officially to 3.1.2 before trying to jailbreak, It did not work out after jailbreak which means the phone has no network functions anymore.
If anyone has the solution please post it and untill that I warn the users who has officially updated 3.1.2 before jail break attemp. -

I currently have my iPhone3G Jailbroken at v3.0..
Well after working fine for months, it has frozen on me and I cant get passed the apple logo.So since its JB, what steps do I do to recover? do I just do the normal recovery with iTunes(v8.0) or since its JB do I follow a different procedure?

when i go to download PwnageTool 3.1.4, what do I open it with? i tried using the recommended thing bitzipper, but there is no link for a setup, I have vista home premium , some help would greatly be appreciated

I had the same problem. I have a Windows XP Professional. I downloaded the bitzipper software and then the Pwnage Tool icon changed from zilch to a nice tetris icon. But what the heck do I do after that? I have a 3.1.2(7D11) and 05.11.07. I have used iPhonehacks instructions successfully before, but this one definitely has me stumped!!
