Sweet Mother of God!!!! Thanks to all involved. If I had had to look at an unjailbroken 3GS for another second I think I might have gone mad. The most painless jailbreak yet.

right click on spirit and go to properties and to compatibility option and change the compatability to windows 98 or 95.then it will work smoothley

I have my 3GS upgrade to 3.1.3 and a new ITune 9 , run on Window XP SP3 , the problem is I can not connect it with this Itune 9 then I can not JB it using Spirit.

recently i use 3.1.2 thethered jailbreak .with out restore from itunes.i use spirit to jailbreak.now stuck in usb + itunes?try to use itunes restore or update.nothing still stuck in usb+itunes .....pls help?

It took a long time for it to be released but it only took 30 secs to get it JB'd :) Did not lose any pictures, and my iPhone is now everything it should be again. Thank you!!!

How do i get my APP to load on the iphone after i Jaillbreak it ?

Did it as soon as I got home. I ran Spirit as administer, windows 98 compatible on vista and the jailbreak was instant. I downloaded Rock and got all of my Rock apps from the archives back on my phone within ten minutes. No hiccups for the last twelve hours. I backed up all my photos before jailbreaking but that turned out to be unnecessary because I didn't lose anything during the jailbreak. I'm no tech nerd by any stretch but it looks to me just as with prior jailbreaks, every phone handles it a differently. These are the settings I used and everything is running slick as snot. My donation has been made to Mr comex. If you have not shown some love with a few bucks please do so. A lot of work goes into these hacks and these folks aren't charging for it.

By the way, I'm not sure why people are still asking this but yes, Spirit will jailbreak 3.1.3 running boot rom 05.12.01

There is currently no unlock available with Spirit. It is an untethered jailbreak that requires activation or hacktivation, IE an AT&T data plan or a factory unlocked Iphone which is not easy to come by unless your a really good con man or are sleeping with someone at AT&T. Good luck

Everything working well but just noticed that one web site that always used to work now crashes safari. can someone check it out with their jailbroken ipad 3g and see if it crashes for them too. it's www.drudgereport.com it does not crash safari on my friends non jailbroken ipad nor does it crash my jailbroken iphone.
PS I tried respring, reboot, and clear cache no luck..

I tried downloading BenM for tethering, it did not work. Has anyone figured out how to get tethering to work after Spirit JB?

To fix "install iTunes 9" error in Spirit I ran a reg cleaner then retried spirit and it works now.
