I have an iPhone 3GS 3.1.2 JB'd with blackra1n on a new bootrom. Is blackra1n a tethered hack and will Spirit JB it to 3.1.3? And is it worth it since 4.0 may be coming around soon?

Try totaly restoring Your iphone
Turn it off
hold home and connect it to itunesif possible use your friends or any other i tunes so it would be a clean restore
if Cydia is still hanging on its either:
broken Spirit download
hardware malfunction

No mate was untethered JB am still running it now and have turnd the phone off stacks of times with no problems at all. I upgraded to 3.1.3 early and obviously regretted it so set about looking for a JB then sn0wbreeze was released, ran it, watched a vid on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWXlfJqxXsI see for yourselves.

THANK'S TO SPIRIT. well befor this there's other alternative for jailbreaking right. Redsn0w, blackra1n..blah..blah, I think month ago.
Well i have locked phone, and already 3.1.3 tried the old alternative only work for the jailbreaking not the unlocking. But AFTER I JAILBREAK WITH SPIRIT, I CAN USE MY PHONE FREELY. It's jailbreak and it's unlock :)

i have a problem, jailbreak and everything works fine, but after installing a few apps. i cant seem to install any big apps. for instance i can install anygames around 2-10mbs but if i install something big it work work, wont sync or install via ****. i tried install h.a.w.x many times thru itunes and **** but no luck.

You should be buying the apps from iTunes rather than pirating them.

i jailbroke my phone and when i used cydia it deleted my phone, contacts, camera, calculator and alot of my other apps that came with my phone... is it suppose to do this or what am i doing wrong?

i had the same problem bud, just run the jailbreak again and it will sort it.

Untethered means that the jailbreak software will not need a computer everytime you turn off and turn your ipod back on. You wont have to re-JB over and over.To my understanding.
