Another one I'm not sure everyone knows about is the ability to control Pandora from the lockscreen. If you have Pandora running in the background and have your phone locked, double press the home button; this will bring up the same music controls used for the iPod app! Hope you guys find this useful!

OK. Where is the list of the 100 features? Why Apple doesnt publish that makes me a little suspicious.

If u have multiple keyboards applied to your keyboard... Tap-and-hold the globe button and u can easily scroll upbto your preferred keyboard (more useful for people with a lot of keyboards) I don't use the feature but hope it helps others out!
-
Try to use Japan keyboard and it will crash!

iOS4:
Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendar
Scroll down.
"Load Remote Images" OFF! Finally! It keeps emails from downloading images remotely, which is a technique commonly used by spammers to identify email addresses. -
Shake the phone during texting and look what happen, then shake again.
-
Settings=general=accessibility=white to black. try it. Never seen anything like it
-
Alro- the shake to undo feature was also in the 3.0 software release, as was the accessibility options, and the lock screen ipod controls. Really nothing new except for the orientation lock which is awesome.
-
WHY THE HELL THEY NOT ADDING SNOOZE TO CALENDAR ALERTS?????????
-
Does it really lock in landscape? Every time I try it, it rotates back to portrait and locks there.

how's abt micro simcard. It would be a trouble for T-mobile users.

I don't understand why Steve jobs don't have a booklet to show ppl all these features. There's a whole lot of ppl with iPhone 4 that don't no what alot of the features the phone has and that a pitty. Well just lime someone else said what is really all the 100 new features. I guess with time we all wil no. But alot of ppl won't.
-
ummm.....no? lol
-

don't like talking **** , we need proved !!
steve job = No Action Talk Only -
This post is related to ios 4 not Iphone 4.
-
it only locks portrait mode. hence being called portrait lock

Weird, "Group Messaging" is not showing up under Messages on my Pwnagetool 4.01 iPhone 3Gs... Anyone might know why?
-
Yep, you would think it is such a basic feature.
-
yeah, mine is missing too... on my iPhone 3G, redsn0w -5 (latest release)
-
Actually, this "controlling pandora from the lockscreen is not exclusive to the ops 4, it's available on 3.1.x fw. U could control pandora from the multitasking dock, same way u control iPod functions, though.
-
Apple don't publish a list of the extra features because these discussions create 'hype' around their products, and that's the sort of advertising and discussion they want! :)

I thought there was supposed to be a digital zoom on the camera and my friend with a 3Gs running 4.0 and myself with an iPhone 4 (also running 4.0 of course) cannot seem to find how to activate this feature... We've tried pinching the screen and tapping it also. We looked in settngs but couldn't find anything there... Did we just misunderstand that or am I missing something? Thanks for the help.
-
Its there. I did not have to activate anyhting on my 3GS or iPhone 4.
Launch the Camera App, tap the screen and a slider should appear on the screen with a + and - on it. use that slider to zoom in and out.
-
i dont have group messages option in settings>messages on the new iPhone 4 :s
-
Ok, I found it... it only works on the still camera on the back...not the video or front camera... Thanx
-
Yeah i get the same, no Group Messaging option in the settings. Weird!
-
Press and hold an app in the multitasking app bar and you will have the option to kill an app running in the background. Saves battery.
-
Notes syncing still not available with Exchange accounts, what a joke. And my iPhone 4 also doesn't have the Group Messaging option. Some things are so stupid, like why isn't there a Mark as Unread? Or set an email's Importance? Task and Notes syncing to Exchange? The iPhone's still not ready for primetime as a true business tool compared to Windows Mobile or (uggg!) a BB, but I'll never go back.

Where is the ability to delete individual telephone calls? It's sad that a function I can have on a $10.00 phone I cannot have on this one. I guess I'll have to wait for the jailbreak to add it.
