That's my point. The article says either one, but the reality is that it's just for portrait. I really would prefer a lock for either one, since video is clearly better in landscape.

Don't know if this is new in ios4 but you can swap your left to right or right to left on the email in the inbox to bring up delete or archive (gmail) and also it now can create events based on date/time text.

hey I dont have steves email.. can you foward him this message: steve....put you nice looking iphone in your a$$

The Article says orientation lock in landscape and portrait, WHICH is false! I can't stand the portrait lock!
And don't get me started on the YouTube APP! I liked the old one better, you know the one that played videos in one comfortable position, where you could lay down comfortably watching videos in the night! Damn I really hate the new update -
When using FaceTime, you can touch the screen that shows your cam and move the little box in your preferred corner.. Subscribe to my channel on YouTube.. My user name is "v3toif" I will show you move info about the iphone4.

Google it. I did a while ago and I found a list of 99 of the 100 features that iOS4 users had discovered.

The group messaging is right in front of you! Go into SMS add one person with the + then add someone else with the + type a message then send it!! :)
-
when the camera is on tap once lightly just above the button on the image and the zoom will appear.
-
That was available in the previous version. At least on my 3gS it was. I found it to be quite distracted but definitely an interesting new look!
-
I can send to a group of people of course, I could before. But same for me, no group replies. All replies come individually even though it does show a group reply window? I adjusted the settings as suggested above but, nothing. I have the 3gS. Any suggestions anyone?
-
I have the 3gS, and after the ios 4.o update my zoom bar appears after opening the camera and tap the screen just once. It appears as a slide bar just above the capture button.
-
Great suggestion. Though I don't know if it meant that all were running, I had like a dozen things open! Everything I had used recently. Does that really mean that they were all running? Or do they have to have the push and badges activated for them to do that?
-
And what about the ability to block certain phone numbers? (a number not in your address book of course) Is there a way to do that that I don't know about? An option I was able to do on every other "cheap" phone I have ever owned.
-
The portrait lock is very nice for when you are in your itunes listening to a book, say in bed. Because when turned on it's side all you see is album art and only access to albums and not the book you are listening to. Landscape lock for other purposes would be a great addition, I agree!
-
Yeah, but when each individual replies it is supposed to all show in a group message window. I do get a group message window, but all replies still show up individually.

GUYS Group messaging works.
Here are the steps.
1) Activate Group messaging in Settings - Messages - Group Messaging - ON
2) now Double click ur Home button and u will see all your running app.
3) Press and hold any application. (now u will see red minus (-) sign)
4) kill (delete) settings and Messages
5) Try now group messaging :)I think the reason it didnt work for most of you is, sometimes changes doesnt take effect on an application till you turn it off and on.

There is a mark as unread, just click "details" the right of the sender of the email and an option will drop down by the subject line.
-
The only way I know to block phone numbers is via the carrier, not the device. I opted into the AT&T parental controls, and that's where I can block phone numbers and control text & download limits, not on the phone device.

Not sure if this was said already, but if you hold down the home button (also works when locked) you get to do voice commands. Like call *name* or play album *name*. Found it on accident.
-
Because there is an alarm function in clock that has snooze. Calendar alerts are more for reminders not to wake you up haha.
-
They were all running but with limited accessibility. Eg the app actually closes but remembers what you last viewed for next time you open it.
-
If you are on the lock screen you can activate voice controls by holding the home button until blue screen appears. It's sik
