Boot Up Speed Test: iPhone 4 (iOS 4) Vs. HTC HD2 Vs. Nexus One (Android 2.2) Vs. LG Panther (Windows
Folks at Pocketnow have compared the boot up (startup) time of iPhone 4 (running iOS 4) with HTC HD2 and Nexus One (running Android 2.2) and LG Panther (running a beta version of Windows Phone 7). Since I hardly restart my iPhone, I must admit that I had never paid...

could be irrelevant,my wm based htc boot up fast but in 6 hours is lagging as hell,my iphone is constant
-
Umm, my 3gs does not take 30 secs and the iPhone4 in the video... 1 min?? Like my old iPhone 2G..
-
its really no big deal since you dont always have to reboot your device to you it everytime. by the way it doesnt seem like they all take that long so i guess its a good thing
-
my iphone 4 boots up in 35 seconds. It it has to load lots of jailbroke plugin like lockinfo.
-
It's obvious why Windows Phone 7 boots fast.. as with any Windows, you need to reboot a ton! :P
-
I'm surprised the iPhone 4 took that long. I would expect that from a Jailbroken one. My jailbroken 3G takes over a minute and I barely have many plugins. Its actually pretty painful to watch it reboot
-
Thank god windows has a fast boot that piece of crap is gonna need rebooting all day long
-
I would think it had to do with the specs that a Windows Mobile/Windows Phone phone needs just t run normally compared to an Android & iOS device.
-
My jailbroken i4 with vWallpaper and other tweaks and widgets only takes 35 sec to boot. IDK where he gets a minute from, BS!
-
My Iphone 3GS loaded about 28 seconds.
-
My 3gs takes only 30 sec. May be the one who did this video need some help doing this if he's alone might not be accurate pressing those botton at the same time...
-
Yeah, there is way to many variables in this test.. The Iphone and or another device could have it filled with media, as on another could be a freshly installed device. My iphone 4 with a fresh install boots up in 15 seconds, and 25 with 13 gigs of media
-
inaccurate. I started my i4 at the exact same time and it booted 4 seconds after the windows phone
-
If Microsoft has optimized the boot time, it must mean that you often need to reboot it :-)
-
does any one know when the update for the 3g is comeing out its that slow it nearly stopes. get your arse in gear steve jobs and sort the 3g you fucked it up.
-
This test is rubbish, I just booted my iphone 4 in 31 sec to be accurate!!! Plus you need windows phone to boot up quicker coz all the crashes you are gonna get with i... :-)
-
That's BS!!!! My Iphone 4 is jailbroken and loaded with extras and boots up in 40 seconds. sounds like someone may have an agenda.
-
Folks! HOW is it BS? It's a freaking VIDEO of them starting at the same time. You can watch it and time it for yourself! The only viable point to be made is that the different quantities of software and media loaded on our iPhones make the startup times vary. I would presume the other phones are similar, and the guy even says as much about the HD2.
-
The windows phone is probably a fresh format. Let's see it boot up after three months!!!
-
if you watch closely the apple logo apears at about 26 seconds of the video and finnishes loding at 1:04 just under 40 seconds so this guy cant count
-
My iPhone 4 reboots in 19 sec.
-
The video is from a Windows 7 fan boy site, vid is rigged....
-
Well i believe if you had a lot file saved on iPhone, it will lag the boot up.
-
It's really not that big of a deal, as you mentioned there! I turn off my iPhone maybe a few times in month and I really don't care if it boots up in a minute or 1/2 minute..
-
my jb phone with lots of jb app and liek 17 gigs filled. booted in 35secs
-
Is anyone actually going to base their purchase or even factor it in to their purchase decision??? Not likely. Who cares. This is about as relevant as what shade of black comes on the phones
-
if you actually watch the time lapse of the video he drops all the phone at the :30 second mark and the iphone actually boots up at 1:04. its about 34 seconds not 1 minute as the guy says. you fanboys are so defensive.
-
The iPhone in the video doesn't have a sim card installed which slows the boot time considerably
-
What a stupid drivel.

Nice to see how this topic all of a sudden is not important anymore at all. I would love to see the Android or WinMobile bashing if it was iOS that booted the fasted.
I only reboot my Android if I wish to use a new custom rom...just because I can.
