downgrade to 4.0.1 if you have shsh saved on cydia, the baseband hasnt changed so this should be fine.
not 100% with the 3gs but i think this is right. by the way 3.2.2 is for the ipad not the iphone. -
go to your setting safari turn on your javascript.
keep try for 1000 time if you have 4.1 and lower .
you get it.
dave team stop pay cat and mouse game with them.
just do it . do them.
format the i phone.newbootrom format them.
created program to retore. no need itunes.
cydia retore 4.2
make a path code imposible to lock it.
they can send anything it well not lock it.
in real life cydia is the cat cat well eat the mouse.
not tom n jerry. -
This is pissing me off. I hate apple and iphones. Im trying to sell my iphone but accidentally upgraded to 4.0.2 and now can't unlock it. APPLE SUCKS
-
I don't know why the development team is just giving up. "The only winning move is not to play" are the words of losers. Come on development team, play hard and help us out!
-
They will when iOS 4.1 is released.
-
Or they probably have figured out a way to jailbreak iOS 4.1 (beta).

4.0.2 was why I didn't go to iPhone 4 when I had a chance. Thanks but I'll stick with my 3GS that I can customize. I'll snag a 4 maybe when they fix their blutooth issue and there is a jailbreak, but no sooner.
-
what if you erased all data and settings could you restore to 4.0.1
-
Thats really sad I was hoping to jailbreak my new iphone 4 so I would have been able to use the packages I have already purchased on cydia etc:My phone arrived from Apple already updated to 4.0.2. Somewhat pissed off.
-
ya its sad, i bought 3gs that already has 4.0.2, ive tried everything and nothing, hate this situation!
-
I'm in the USAF and I bought an iPhone 3gs in Italy. it came factory unlocked so I never have to worry about it locking on me :p
-
Today my roommate got a used 3G. It was screwed up, wouldn't boot past the apple logo screen. So I had no choice but to restore it through itunes and upgrade it to 4.0.2. After that I used my copy of redsn0w for the hell of it. It was "0.9.5b5-5",and the IPSW I used was "iPhone1,2_4.0_8A293_Restore, and it jailbroke it with no problem. Then used the latest ultrasn0w through cydia. Everying is working fine.

hi
i've unlocked couple of iPhones before. honestly i dont know that much, just I follow your structures and i was successful. is it possible for you to tell me how can I exactly down grade my 3gs 4.0.2 to 4.0.1 or earlier version? -
i just got my iphone and plugged it in to itunes and upgraded it. is ther a way to downgrade it
-
aww come on dev team!!! that was horrible timing! ther are so many of us who just got the iphone and upgraded it, i think dev team shouldve waited to make this move. ugg this makes me mad
-
is it ever going to happen? jailbreak 3gs 4.02.... :C
-
so iPhoneHacks they will try and jailbreak 4.02 for 3gs???
-
Can someone tell if i should upgrade my 3Gs 4.02 to 4.1 so I can wait for that firmware to be Jailbroken?
-
Can someone tell if the software "Unlock the iphone" (http://unlock-the-iphone.com/) is able to jailbreak iphone 4 iOS 4.0.2 for ~30$ ??
Anyone had tried this software ? -
While I certainly don't have the funds to persue it, it sure seems VERY SIMILAR (to me) the way Apple LOCKS us down to Apple authorized software and Microsoft's bundling of Internet Explorer with Windows.
The courts ruled the Microsoft HAD to un-bundle Internet Explorer (allowing windows to ship WITHOUT IE), so it seems to me the SAME judicial standards should apply to Apple's BLOCKING JailBreaks (or Cydia downloads).
