That's real smart. Tell the world you found an exploit but don't release the tools.
By the time this exploit is released Apple will have new bootroms out.

Just because they were lucky enough to FIND one doesn't mean it ready for general use. There are always bugs which have to be addressed first. Be patient.

well the point is it's better to have a late jailbreak which doesn't screw up your iphone then having a early jailbreak that screws up more than half the people phone.

umm... think about it. Apple needs to know what the hole is to fix it. How do you think that will happen BEFORE the jailbreak is released?
Neither here nor there... you should learn how to READ. It doesn't matter if they fix it unless you plan on buying a new phone. It can only be fixed with a new bootrom. ROM, NOT SOFTWARE.

keep in my guys, IOS4.2 will be out by November. think about it, if dev team will release the JB say by end of september, we only have a month to enjoy it once the 4.2 goes out. will dev team wait after that we don't know

They should wait till 4.2..It's annoying but there isn't anything so major its a dealbreaker in 4.1. There are app store apps with that HDR photo thing and yeah its nice to have the new Bluetooth profile but not terribly important. 4.2 However looks much more interesting..Id just as soon wait cause we'll be in the same boat in a month after the jailbreak is released. This is really annoying already.. I wish Apple would chill the F out and let us do what we want to do with our phones.

For those of you that are complaining about having to wait for the new jailbreak or who said they should have never said anything... you're dumb! They let us know about their success so we can be in the loop of knowledge. For you impatient 'tards... they have to work around Apple's software to make sure the jailbreak works 100%! if they don't take their time with the jailbreak, then you would all be crying about your iPhone/ iTouch not working or crashing.

New bootroms only cause trouble to those that buy brand new iPhones or to people that already have an iPhone and update their iOS.

Yes. This just makes my day :) Not too excited about the new bootrom though. Means if you want an iPhone 4 NOW is the time to get it before apple finds out about the exploit and changes their chips mid way into production. Im guessing they fix it by the time the white iPhone 4 comes out. A jailbroken white iPhone 4 with old bootrom is going to be like finding Willy Wonka's Golden ticket. LOL.

those who are saying to wait for 4.2. Did you read the article? IOS updates won't be able to patch this exploit. This exploit would require a change to the hardware to patch.

I just got a 32gig iphone 4 and it came 4.0.2 streight from the factory... and I could care less about jailbreaking it but I CANT USE IT! because i need to UNLOCK it.... no jailbreak=no unlock=BYE BYE IPHONE USER #234234234 hehehehe im going back to blackberry I think the dev team is on iphones pay role... hehehhehehe
