So, if I have an Iphone with 4.1 FW with new bootrom, sn0wbreeze will not be able to jailbreak my Iphone
First I have to downgrade to FW 3.1.2 ??
Downgrade from 4.1 to 3.1.2 is impossible because I haven't got the SHSH files. -
it would sppesr the ones with the greatest problem are the owners of iphone 3Gs mod. MC which were on 3.1.2 but by failed attempt to unlock wound up updating to 4.0.2 The question is now, did this update automatic change bootrom to new version, and most important of all is there any procedure to jailbreak and unlock this seemingly misfit 3Gs wth 4.0.2

Hey fellas!
This is some good news indeed. I was wondering, If I have a 3Gs that was jailbroken with the latest jailbreak (the one that had the website link that you could jailbreak under Safari), can I use this new release? Also at that time before Jailbreaking my iPhone, I had the latest OS from apple at that moment. Now Do I have to downgread my iPhone or do I have to install OS 4.1 first before using this release?
I'm a bit lost.
If anyone can help clearing things up, would help!

I have an iPod touch 2g MC model, so does this mean I can't jailbreak on 4.1 with sn0wbreeze, or what? I'm confused.

Could you publish a more detailed procedure for the Iphone 3GS 3.1.2 old bootrom wanting to upgrade to 4.1. The article above confuses me!

I looked at snOwbreez website and under snOwbreez 2.0 problem. It seems some people are having problems with the hacktivate process...did you encounter this?

Here's my situation. My wife's phone (3G MB model) is unlocked and JB on 4.0.1 with 5.13.04 baseband. I just purchased another 3G (MB model) but the idiot upgraded to 4.1 with 5.14.02 before he shipped it to me. After several attempts with custom ipsw's, the phone finally restored to 3.1.3 but retained the 5.14.02. I was able to JB but not unlock. Could I use the process explained here to create a custom ispw from my wife's phone and restore my phone from that ispw in order to get rid of the 5.14.02 BB? Has anyone tried this or would I be wasting my time? Thanks in advance for any help.

no the baseband can't be downgraded it can upgraded but can't be downgraded only in first 1phone 3g with bootloader 5.8 using fuzzyband (( app that can be fond in cydia if it's updated to support the 5.14.02 BB and i don't know about that)),
than if you have a new iphone 3g with a bootoader newer to 5.8 and you have upgraded it to the 5.14.02 BB than you are stuke with it and your only chance is to wait for a new update of ultrasn0w to unlock your iphone
