I just installed redsn0w on my 3g 16bg Iphone with the 4.1 firmware....
I needed to use it with t-mobile.Ami f!@#ed/screwed?
Lost my train of thought and simply forgot I had to use Ultrasn0w for t-mobile carrier.
I tried to even install it, all it did was get stuck on 'searching' for signal.
It seems hopeless as i simply f'ed up badly.
Anyone know of any ideas or help?I would hate to have to go to ATT lol!

you can jailbreak it with this tool if your on 4.0 or 4.1. it will be tethered sooo yeah. that sucks. i would recommend saving your SHSH's on 4.0 & jailbreaking with jailbreakme.com then try upgrading to 4.1 and jailbreak to see if you like it despite the tethering. (then you can always go back to 4.0)

yeah you f325ed up. you cant go back to the old baseband. "IF YOU USE THE ULTRASN0W UNLOCK, PLEASE WAIT FOR PWNAGETOOL TO SUPPORT 4.1. DO NOT USE REDSN0W. That’s because to use redsn0w at 4.1, you need to already have updated to official 4.1 from Apple. If you do that, you lose the ultrasn0w unlock (possible forever)."

You can, but you'll have to sync it and then you'll lose current content. But I'm pretty sure you can resunc n restore back on windows. Basically just adds an extra few steps from what I gather.

No, you need to download it to a Mac, enter DFU mode on your iDevice and start the program.

I used forecast to check my eligibility for upgrade, it said
Jailbreak: yes
Unlock: NoWht should i do to upgrade?? should i use redsn0w or wait for Ultrasn0w??

Wait for Sn0wbreeze, that will come out tomorrow. You should be able to jailbreak and unlock with that software.
Simple: If anyone NEEDS A UNLOCK do NOT use redsn0w, wait for Sn0wbreeze.
If you could care less about a unlock and have a Mac then use redsn0w!
