shatter is just designed to break the new basebands in iphone4 and new devices. Jailbreak has already been released for 4.1 on older devices (3gs ect)

does anybody know if there will be an upcoming tool to unlock iphone 3g running ios4.1/firmware 5.14.02/bootloader 06.04? many people have upgraded intentionally or by mistake and are now locked. this being a huge issue for people is a little frustrating with no clear answers anywhere online. if someone can answer this please do so.

My iPhone 3G is running on official 4.1 firmware so the baseband is updated to the latest one, but I want to jailbreak only for battery percentage and multitasking. So if I use sn0wbreeze will I encounter any errors?

yea but they work with pre-requisites meaning if you bought your i-device after apple stopped signing.....you are screwed. kinda sucks so we all waiting for a NEW jailbreak.

If they release further updates on this Jailbreak before the Galaxy S gets released on my carrier then I might consider getting the iPhone 4. I really have no use for a non-jailbroken iPhone.
