iphonehacks, by mistake I updated my modem firmware to 05.14.02 and therefore iOS to 4.1 in my iphone 3G, will it be possible to revert this since I used to have and older bootroom? by the way to unlock it in the future....thanks so much you guys are awesome!

Yes, keep it at 4.0.2. Use tinyumbrella and you can go to 4.1 while preserving the baseband. You then will be able to jail real then unlock.

Greenpois0n will jailbreak ios 4.1 and pending ultrasn0w will unlock bb 1.59.00. That is why you need tiny umbrella.

I'm more pissed at the fact that they gave NO indication that this was a 4th gen only jb. Sure there's a 3GS jb for 4.1, bu that was only for devices that have already been JBed. This exploit was touted as able to jb all current models regardless of firmware for life, so you can see how we were all excited for this release. Then the day that that announce the jb they say it's for 4th gen only? It's not like they just discovered that today... All I'm saying is don't build up false hope, a lot of people were expecting this exploit to be able to jb clean 3gs's on 4.02 and 4.1. They should have been straightforward with us right from the beginning.

Riff, just one simple question, i got iphone 4 with 4.1 BB and it's locked with vodafone network, can i downgrade with any BB like 3.1.2 or 4.0.1 and unlock? My iphone 4 is completely useless without unlock.

Is greenpoison different than SHAtter? because SHAtter was supposed to jailbreak all existing Iphone devices, Now I hear that greenpoison using the SHAtter exploit will only jailbreak Iphone 4, How fair is that to the people who have older versions of the Iphone when it has been said from the very beginning that the SHAtter exploit will jailbreak all existing Idevices for life? C'mon Chronic Dev Team throw us a bone here! LOL!

They dont owe you or anyone else an "indication" or explination... You know how hard what they are doing is? If you want to use the new jailbreak go buy the new 4. Why would they want to spend time working on something that wont even be sold in the very near future... I have a 3gs as well but I will get a 4 when this comes out. Nothing to be pissed about over here. In short you guys all drive me crazy and im sure all the people that put the work into the jb as well. This is exacly why geohot is in fiji drinking tequila. Ed - you do need the ssh blobs to jb 4.1. If you havent already done the jb before upgrading then its pretty tuff to do. Wait for the new jb and go get the 4 man.

Thanks bs, I'm not hating trust me, I literally just bought this iPhone 3GS just weeks before the iPhone 4 was released so I am pretty much stuck with this until I am eligible for an upgrade through my carrier, I haven't saved the shsh blobs before I upgraded to iOS 4.1, So it basically means I am SOL! LOL! Is there another way? Thanks, Ed

There is another way. Sell your like new 3GS and pay out of your contract and do it over again. Or add a line and get the 4 for 199/299

Exactly! Im pissed off too. Nd Devs, i respect u as hell, but c'mon! How can u do dat to us. I mean its great that u made this jailbreak, but only for iphone 4g nd newer models?!?! Wut about us with older models? Nd if anyone is gonna give me ****, dnt cuz i just said tht i still respect em nd think they the best. Atleast i hope tht Shatter is another exploit nd Greenp0ison is just to finally jailbreak the iphone 4. Please let there be jailbreak for life for 3GS nd the rest of the old models!
