No it won't. But you should always take a backup of your iPad before jailbreaking it so you can always restore from the backup if you hit any problem.

Limera1n does not unlock your iPhone. You should have used the guide for iPhone users rather than this one.

tried this tutorial three times and do not get any limera1n app!? apparently nothing actually happens!?

You really need to learn to read better, especially when jailbreaking. You're screwed now if you updated your baseband.

I never see the limera1n logo but it seems like it performs the exploit and goes to the connect to itunes screen!?

I can't get this to work on a 3.2.2 iPad with the latest version of limera1n and the latest version of iTunes. I get the message box that says the hack is done, but I never get the raindrop on the iPad. Have tried it from win7 and from windxp. Does anyone have any ideas. The iPad has already been freshly restored also.

the problem is in your windows version. my windows 7 couldnt do the JB but I tryed on Vista and worked great.

I will only jailbreak my iPhone 4 with Limera1n for now, while keeping my iPad jailbroken with iOS 3.2 (Spirit) because there is no point for me upgrading and jailbreaking 3.2.2 now if new iOS 4.2 for iPod is coming out next month anyway, so I'd rather wait for it.

iPad 3.2.2. Run limera1n says done but never see the green drop. Goes to "connect to iTunes" screen. No limera1n on home screen. Where do I get the dot net file. I can't find one that's doesn't require me filling out a survey or trying something free. Please help iphonehacks. You haven't answered this question yet!!!!!

I wonder how go ahead and apply a Jailbreak without carefully reading all the necessary steps ;-)
To clarify this again, when you restore your iDevice with the new iOS (4.1 in this case), all data in your device will be erased. This is why there are several warnings along the way.
All you need do (in case of next time) is to backup your apps with pkgBackup for example and Sync with iTunes to save your precious Apps and settings. Then, after a successful Jailbreak you can then restore all these Apps back using again the pkgBackup. Simple!
I had to laugh when I read you comment. I know it is not funny to loose a good organized Apps and settings. But I can't help but think that some guys here are acting stupid and I hate stupidity.

Try again and this time remember to press the home button even after it enters DFU Mode.
