I don't mind about unlocking, but i love my jailbreaking, looking very forward to the 4.2 for my 3g, hope it makes things run better :)

i still on ios 4.01..because i rely on unlocker once dev team release unlocker i will upgrade my ios..i love my jailbreak and iphone,without jailbreak just like eat without drink for me...

all i gotta say is patience is the key. ive thought about getting rid of my iphone when 4.1 came out, but its much funner knowing apple hates this whole hacking world.

las time while installing 4.2 gm on itunes 10.0 my iphone game me error 32 and i openned tinyumbrella hit exit recovery and found that my iphone was on 4.2 but the baseband firmware didnt change so next i re recover to 4.2 this time i did on 10.1 beta2 left restore to complete and the fimware did change this time can some one explain ??

I did the mistake and upgraded to 4.1 in my 3GS .
Do you think that this unlock is going to unlock it??? I hope it dose . The phone now is useless since I did this a month ago. -
I Will update my iPhone4 to 4.2 as soon it is released, but I don't know if I will bother to jailbreak. Right now I'm on 4.1 and jailbroken but the fun jailbreakapps that I had on my 3GS don't sem to work on my 4.

moved to a country where you can buy iphone from multiple carriers and have it unlocked by request. So, thankfully, don't care about unlocking any more.
but can't survive without a few apps unavailable outside of apples censorship. like tethering my ipad to my iphone (my effing wi). I can tether my macbook, but not my ipad?
Command line. SSH and terminal is my friend. Real men (and chix) sometimes need a command line.
it's a shame Apple has to treat computing "adults" as "kids", too. They make nice HW and have a nice underlying OS. then they dress it in little kids clothes and sell it.
why can't they have a "i'm an adult" setting on the phone?

How do you upgrade to a newer jailbreak if u already have a jailbroken phone without losing everything already downloaded can you only use that package backup through cydia I'm not sure what to do I don't want to start over but Is that how you do it just rejailbreak your phone

AFAIK, you have to upgrade and lose JB and then JB again. Used to have Rock to restore the JB apps, and I'm not sure Cydia will do that yet.
And I'm adding this, cuz I've tried to post a lot of times but they never show up on the page. What's up with that?!?!

There is no unlock to 4.1 if you have the latest baseband. You could only have 4.1 unlocked if you upgraded the OS but not the baseband, with the pwnage tool.
I'm also waiting for the 4.1 unlock for the 3Gs and iphone 4.
Hopefully the 3Gs unlock will be available this weekend, the iphone 4 one I'll guess will take at least one more week -
Pls... Pls... Can't wait for the jailbreak and unlock. My old OS 3.1.3 on my 3G is crying for help... :(

So if you do that then how do you preserve you baseband I thought apple was trying to upgrade basebands to throw off jailbreak I'm not sure how to preserve I used to have a 3GS and once I upgraded I was screwed because it updated the baseband I just wanna make sure I don't get screwed
