No, you shouldn't update to iOS 4.2.1. You should wait for Dev team to release PwnageTool to preserve the baseband so you can then use Ultrasn0w to unlock it.

Thanks for clearing the DOUBT of the new baseband iOS 4.2.1 has.. it seems Taimour of Redmondpie just posted it wrong and everyone started following it and wrote all over the internet.. MuscleNerd never mentioned anywhere that it is coming for the new baseband or iOS 4.2.1!

1. Guys, technically... does an unlock (ultrasnow)purpose have any kind of bearing if u do not wish to change/shift your carrier but jst want ur iPhone Jailbroken? & after w/c, a later version goes out & u just wish to upgrade & rejailbreak again? Any complications w/ that?
2.Assuming you have a fac-unlock iPhone, jailbroken state, & wish to upgrade to the most current iOS version... does it involve any kind of hazard if u simply upgrade & use appropriate JB tool not considering whether ur BB increments as well?

I have 2 iphones 3gs one has MB bootrom and the other has MC bootrom. When I installed the Facelt-3gs app from cydia, the MB model works and the MC model didn't work. Does anyone know what's happening or does Facelt-3gs app doesn't support the MC model pls anyone help. Thankz!
