this guide is super late. like the post said, Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 was released quite sometime back ago.i used to visit iphonehacks.com for everything iphone..but i guess it's true that iclarified.com is way more on time with these things.(i always see things on iclarified first)(but the iphonehacks.com name is way better) =)sorry iPhoneHacks. u guys maybe need more manpower.

This guide is quite old. But if it was done on purpose, I applaud iphonehacks as it helped filter out a bunch of thick dumb retards. People who dont even have the patience the read the post and then getting excited for nothing. If you cannot even make sense of the title, then jailbreaking is not for you - go get an android powered device.

when i try to restore it doenst regognise the firmwrae file (cause its a zip file?) how do i change the type of file?

I downloaded the Redsnow from the link in here and on devteam's link too but when I try to open the Zip file it says that there is an error and it wont open!!!`Any ideas on that? TY people!!! Happy new year!

u have to use the function inside redsn0w that says 'install iPad baseband'.then u can use ultrasn0w to unlock.these instructions are all over the web.if u continue to have trouble, just go to http://blog.iphone-dev.orgbtw, only iphone 3g and 3gs can have the iPad baseband.
