Verizon iPhone Carrier Settings Update: Should You Update Them?
Quite a few Verizon iPhone users are reporting on Twitter and Verizon forums that they’ve received dialog box prompting them to update Carrier Settings.
If you’re one of them and wondering if you should update or ignore it, since it is the first time you've seen such a message then here is some information about iPhone Carrier settings.

i just updated and i have jailbroken iphone verizon and everything works well no problems at all it only updates carrier to 10.1

Ive been searching forever to get the carrier settings ie. MMSC, APN, and proxy so I can activate swirlyMMS. Does anyone know what those settings are for verizon????

The only thing different since I updated the carrier settings is that my emails disappear from my inbox sometimes. I don't know if that is due to the update, but that only started happening after the update.

just updated the carrier setting on my jailbroken Iphone 4 with Verzion. it was very quick and didn't have any effect on the jailbreak features.

I used to have "cellular data network" option on my setting so i can edit MMS and tethering, after the carrier update this was gone, so my mms and tethering. only way to get it back is doing a full restore! DO NOT UPDATE!

I got asked to update adround 12:20 I issued it and haven't noticed anything different.

I got the 'Carrier Settings Update today on my iPhone 4 Verizon. Installed it. No problems.

I just got an update. Don't think it did anything negative. I wish there was more info about the update, like there is before you update an app. My Facetime never worked since I bought it brand new, but I just checked and now it works. It's been month since I checked though, so it could be unrelated.

I just received this today, what is it about? I have an iPhone 4 from Verizon.

Does it effect skype? I heard a nasty little rumor verizon put out an update to make it so you can't use the front camera on most phones with your skype to save them data.

I noticed a difference in service. Where I usually had consistent 2 - sometimes 4 bars I know have a consistent 4 - 5 bars in my house. Verizon iPhone 4

Hate to break it to you but, they already are dude. The update won't make things any better or worse.
