Apple’s second generation tablet – iPad 2, which was unveiled at last week's ‘Come See What 2011 Will Be Year Of’event is finally here.
iPad 2 is 33% thinner, 15% lighter than the original iPad, comes with the same 9.7 inch screen and features Apple’s new dual-core A5 chip for faster performance and better graphics, front facing camera for FaceTime and PhotoBooth and a rear facing camera that captures 720p HD video.

Not getting one. No retina display, cameras on the unit are of barely acceptable quality and its too expensive. I'll stick to my iphone, it can do everything the ipad can :)

Don't get me wrong it is cool but I wouldn't buy one unless I could get one for like $200, It's my iPhone 4 with a bigger screen, minus the phone. So why would I pay a ridiculous amount of money when I already have one with a smaller screen that I can make phone calls with.

Still can't bring myself to buying one, I don't want to pay more than $100. Been trying to win one through giveaways/contests, that's the only way I wouldn't feel guilty about having one.

I have already ordered one.and to the people who say the iPad is just a larger iPhone...Think about it. Is an 11" laptop the same as a 17" laptop? Screen real estate makes a huge difference.

So I woke up at 2:50CST and used the Apple store app for my phone and easily and I mean super easily fast placed and order at 2:56AM CST which is 12:56AM PST so I believe I was one of the first to order one online and it says my smart cover already shipped 6 hours after the order was placed but my iPad is to ship in 3-5 business days. I don't understand this. Being one of the first to order an iPad 2 and I'm delayed for 3-5 days or is this normal?

Ehh not really. 11 and 24 is a big difference and for a price of $499 - $829 haha get real lol I can go buy a real computer that actually has a OS that you can install software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Games (and no not App store games)and has real keyboard, Such as a Netbook, The list can keep growing of things that are better and more worth the money. Like I said I think the iPad is a really neat device, but I already have an iPhone that does everything this thing does minus the big screen blah blah blah... So yeah with that being said. I'll wait until it actually does something that the iPhone doesn't that's worth the $499 and ridiculous $829 Wow

Actually i ordered two and it was at 12:46am haha i got lucky when i went on the apple.com store it it said buy now and i did. I was like sweet.. Hopefully i get it sometime next week..

I wont be buying iPad 2 because I'm waiting for the iPad 3 which, by all accounts will be out this year

Get real, the iPad uses IPS technology and a better dot pitch than most desktop monitors (some costing as much as the iPad). These mobile devices simply can't push the pixels required for a 10" retina display, which would yield a higher pixel count than a 27" iMac!

I was at my local Best Buy to look at TVs. I didn't even realize that today was iPad 2 Day. I left in the early afternoon and the lines were already getting started.

The change from 3.5 to 9.7 is a 177% increase. The change from 11 to 24 is a 118% increase. I think your example should by 11 to 30. Put things in perspective.

I think it would have been best if the chick that sold her place in line pulled out her iPhone 4 and ordered an iPad 2 with the money she got. I would have done it if it weren't for having a stupid job that I go to every day.
