Breaking News: iPad 2 Jailbroken
Comex, developer of popular jailbreaking tools like Spirit and JailbreakMe has successfully jailbroken iPad 2 that was launched on Friday.
That was quick, especially since Apple has patched the limera1n and the SHAtter exploit in iPad 2.
Comex broke the news via the following tweets and was also congratulated by the iPhone Dev team:

Just when i thought it was going to take forever after i read apple had patched it up. Iphone dev, comex, you are great at what you do. I know patience is a virtue but just knowing that the jailbreak has already been completed its hard to wait. And as much as i love apple, i still cant understand why they do what they do. Seriously, if i purchase a product it becomes mine. So why cant i do what i want with my own property.

How I miss Rock You Phone. Having an alternate app store is beyond awesome. Too bad Cydia seems so under developed. Unless there is serious background work going on, Cydia remains extremely slow to load, cumbersome to use, prone to crashing, hardly formatted for the iPad. The iPad status announcement was still from March of 2010!!
