iH8sn0w has released Sn0wbreeze 2.4 beta 1 for Windows, which allows users who want to jailbreak and also unlock their iPhone to update their iPhone with a pre-jailbroken iOS 4.3.1 firmware while preserving the baseband from getting upgraded so that it can be unlocked using Ultrasn0w.
Sn0wbreeze is considered as the unofficial PwnageTool for Windows.

I have a 4.2.1 jailbroken and unlockable iPhone 4. I used Sn0wbreeze to preserve my baseband even though I have AT&T. Unless you bought your iPhone recently or were stupid enough to upgrade, you could have easily done the same and had your 4.2.1 iphone unlocked right now.

Learn to do it yourself or shut up. You guys are whiners. It is a pain in the ass to keep up with the iOS updates. It isn't like Apple is making it easy to jailbreak and unlock. You knew this when you got the the iPhone and unlocked it. There will be delays so deal with it. Crybabies!!!!

Advice me...............I use iphone 3gs ios 4.2.1 and baseband 06.15.00I never use Sn0wbreeze to jailbreak. when i update my ios to 4.2.1 I use itune, then I use Redsn0w to install cydia.If i update ios 4.3.1 via itune will i lost cydia?If after Jailbreak with itune. how to install cydia on ios 4.3.1?

@samol if u update ur iphone to 4.3.1 via itunes u wil also upgrade ur baseband, which is not unlockable as of nowalso u wil loose cydia, inorder to upgrade to 4.3.1 use snowbreeze to jailbreak, wihch wil preserve ur baseband

I have a 3GS with 5.12.1 baseband. It has old bootrom.I used SnowBreeze to created a custom 4.3.1 firmware using the preserve base band method Then I started Ireb in SnowBreeze. and restore custom firmware using itunes. After the restore finishes, Itune said it restarted iphone in couple seconds. Then the phone rebooted but came up in recovery mode (DFU). I tried again and again several times already, all had the same result.How should I solve this please? Hope someone can helpThanks much-Thanh
