What part do people not understand that the jailbreak must come BEFORE the unlock???! You can't unlock without first jailbreaking. How else would you break into the OS to alter system files? Common sense people...

There are jbs available already for 4.2.1 and lower (gp,sb,lr,pwnage tool). All unthered. This new jb is for 4.3/4.3.1. Hope this helped. p.sNext week will be a good week

I bought my phone in the US. It was at baseband 02.10.04. I live overseas now and having a locked phone is pointless. I know it's not fair to complain about something that is free, but it's been about 6 months and I can't use my iphone as a phone. :( Any news guys? I really need an unlock..

Don't do the unlock, never do it, if babies keep on crying about it.On release you can buy factory unlocked phones, so what is the point of unlocking then you think? It's for those impatient people who HAD to have one now, and couldn't get an unlocked version.Or those who got in a contract, in which case as it is illegal to stop you from switching carriers, contact your providers support and ask for the unlock.

Quit updating your phone and then you do to have to worry about and unteathered JB I'm still on 4.0 iOS JB is good no worries there hasn't been anything of note to update for so why all the updates just be happy with a unteathered JB and life goes on

Are you positive you can get an unlock code? My contrat has ended with AT&T. I called them the other day and asked if my phone (3G) can be unlocked and was told no. Maybe you live outside of the US?

STOP going about unlock. If you need unlock buy unlock phone or get it from carrier or sim unlock. No one is going to spend a lot of free time with unlock when easy option is available. Someone told me that if you stick the phone up your --- for five minutes you will have unlock phone.
