Uh, guys, it CAN be restored, you just need to block gs.apple.com and you can restore.

Whenever you're sending a new message, iOS 5 will check to see if the recipient is also running iOS 5 and if so it will switch to iMessage (assuming you have iMessage turned on in the Messaging Settings). Start a new message, and when you select a recipient you'll see a spinwheel for a quick second as it checks.

does anyone know if they finally added the ability to forward a full mms message with audio as well as the picture file that comes with? As well as the ability to download and save the audio or video file?
