Untethered Jailbreak Exploit May Be Patched In iOS 5
Yesterday, we reported that iOS 5 was successful jailbroken by the iPhone Dev Team less than 24 hours after it was released using the limera1n exploit.
But MuscleNerd had revealed that the jailbreak is currently tethered, which means that you need to connect your iOS device to the computer on every reboot.

I'd rather have jailbroken 4.3.1 than official 5.0. notifications, lockscreen info, rich text email are all handled with cydia apps... most of them free! Keep up the good work jailbreakers!

The solution is not to upgrade to ios 5. It is simply overrated. I don't get it. I have all d functions in my iphone right now without ios 5. Only difference is UI.*regardless, help support the eradication of poverty and suppression.

For some iOS 5 new features will satisfy them. However, I love my unlimited data plan and being able to tether my 3G iPad 2 to my iPhone 4 for free. I also use numerous other tweaks that won't be included in iOS 5. Very tempting but I'm satisfied with 4.3.3 and its current iteration to not update to 5.0. However, when the new iPhone 5 comes out, I guess I won't have a choice unless I can use the same sim card and pop into my old iPhone 4 whenever I need to tether.
