you know a better method really needs to come out.
all the features that dont work.... itunes previews, ringer, google maps locate feature, email password issues, and so forth.
its a half-assed workaround in my opinion.
-
is there anyway to jailbreak or unlock 1.1.2 or 1.1.3's OOTB?
-
Please someone post a starting point for people who are still using 1.0.2
-
All you 1.0.2 users need to do is upgrade to 1.1.1 through iTunes, and then use the www.jailbreakme.com method to jailbreak it, then you can follow the provided guide from there I believe.
Don't think you can save your apps to use on 1.1.3 though.

hey I just got a brand new iPhone today is there anyway to unlock it if not how long do you think it will before I can
-
Well I tried this hack and it has on a 1.1.2 OTB phone jailbroken and activated with turbosim. It was straight forward and I did not get any errors displayed.
However. I am now left with an iPhone displaying the Apple logo and nothing else. I have left it for about 10 mins now. I am wondering if it is going to work or if I have broken it.
Maybe I should have left things alone.
Anyone else see this?

I unlocked my O2 iPhone with the service of http://www.unlocknowyouriphone.com/ Had Great support if you are not a real "techguy".
I love Tesco Telco, hate O2 !

Well, I did as instructed and ended up with a script that couldn't find most files, reset my iTouch, killed my library (iTunes now reports it's filled with 6 gb of 'other' material) and basically I'm screwed. I'll have to manually delete the old music library on the device via scp and start from scratch importing (and in some cases renaming) my stuff.
Data for datebook etc was all kept intact though.
