If you have old bootrom untethered. If you have new it's tethered.

You must update Itunes to 10.5, otherwise you'll get an error code 10 during the install(restore) and you need to be in DFU mode.

had the same problem with my iphone 4 gsm, used redsnow to jb it but then tryed sn0wbreeze-v2.8b8 and it worked great, but you have to keep in mind that all teaks dont work on ios5. thats also one issue that puts your phone into safe mode

How long is it supposed to take because I seem to get stuck at "Please wait while your build is being processed" "waiting to reboot" on my iPad1.This is the second time I'm doing it and I get stuck at the same place again. The last time I had to recover from iTunes after it froze.

You have to redownload them, but your data from games and other things still is saved on the phone, so after you redownload, your stuff will still be in the app. atlest thats how most of mine were after all my jailbreaks so far.

I'm just going to wait for the chronic dev to release the untethered jailbreak. At least their exploit in the A5 chip means I can jailbreak my iPad 2 as well.

Turn off all firewall's zonealarm etc also anti-virus if the problem persists..i have updated 4 x ip4 and 3x ipods with no problem after turning off the security.

I had the same problem, you are just downloading a wrong **** (probably from fuliphonerepo?). You should download **** from hackulo.us then it will work perfectly ;)

Does the baseband get updated as well when you jailbreak on ios 5? I'm just a bit hesitant to jailbreak just incase the baseband gets updated to the ipad 06.15.00 baseband

snowbreeze work good on my 4g gsm, but no signal bar and cydia do not work.also ibooty seem do not work if you miss step enter dfu of snowbreeze. if you miss step , you should start creating new ipsw.

i have used red snow for a couple years and used it again after ios 5 it works great but the new features like cloud and " find the phone " or whatever dont work . i have rebooted it several times and also restored the phone re jailbroke it and still nothing. im not a computer hacker so im not as smart about this crap as some of you are ..... please help i just want to make my phone a hotspot and dont want to lose my unlimited data through at$t thanks

Hi all, I jailbrok my Iphone 4 (BB1.59.0) using redsnow win 0.9.10b2, and I'm having 2 problems that I can see so far, ibooks and gps are not working anymore, they both freeze at the very first screen. Can anybody help. Thanks in advance.

In case anyone still has the same issue, I had the same error message and at the 3rd stage of DFU where it says "while keeping the home button pressed release the power button" after releasing the power button do not let go of the home button till you get the message "The rest of the process takes place on your device". That is the only way I got mine to work after 3 failures.

When i tried on my ipod 4g with ios 4.3.3 and i did set it to use it with ipsw 5.0.1, but when it finished it said on the screen ipod need to be restored. it went through all the code to so wtf please help.
