I am lucky enough to have an old-bootrom iPhone3GS and I am trying to run the new update ( Redsn0w 0.9.9b4) but i cant understan this point:"""please pre-select the IPSW first (redsn0w can’t yet auto-detect the FW version of your old-bootrom 3GS if it’s already been jailbroken)""".Can some one help please !!!! When I open redsn0w 0.9.94b I have 2 choice only jailbreak(this will install Cydia) or extras . So how can I pre-select the IPSW first?????

i have jailbroken 3gs on ios 5 but was having problems with service no signal so i re-installed jailbreak when choosing to install cydia to you have option to install ipad baseband i ticked to box aswell as cydia and after installing had to put back indfu mode and use redsnow extra to boot device i managed to get phone calls working and all carries were unlocked and working but except one for example my phone was originally on orange now all other networks work but orange is restricted and can get no signal for orange but works on all other networks tried and tested so far.

Any info on how to jailbreak and unlock for baseband 05.15.05? I've got a recently iOS5 updated 3gs that's off network and really wants to be unlocked. TIA.

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE ALWAYS...!!! I can never get the semi tether to work nor does the just boot feature work half the time...This is the worst thing ever because non one seems to know what's going on whatsoever with this 60000 error...WTF. SOMEONE PLEASE EMAIL ME OR SOMETHING.

I have 3GS with old BR running on ios5. I jailbroke my phone using snowbreeze 2.8 but I had problem of signal drop when using location service. I thought after running redsnow issue will be fixed but still I am facing same problem. Still signal drop when using location service.

I have found a way to resolve this issue, you can use location services on BB6.15 and IOS 5.0/5.0.1, just don't turn on iClude Services when you restore your iPhone, its working fine for me... do reply if it does for you as well.
