Dev Team Releases Redns0w 0.9.9b8 To Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 Beta
iPhone Dev team has released a new version of Redsn0w – Redsn0w 0.9.9b8, which supports iOS 5.0.1 beta that was seeded to developers yesterday.
With the latest version of Redsn0w, developers don't have to use the trick of pointing to iOS 5 firmware file.

Oh great. All jailbreaking effort is going into an iOS version which hasn't even been released yet, instead of producing a usable untethered jailbreak of iOS5.

I have the problems with jailbreak again! I re-jailbreaked iOS 5 on my iPhone 3GS old-bootrom, everything was great. After a week it started to delete new apps downloaded from ****. The old ones are ok, it deletes just new ones when syncing.

You're supposed to back up before syncing, so een if it does delete those apps they'll be on your comp

untill all the apps in the AppStore have a lite or testing versions for ppl to test before purchasing i'll continue using **** to test apps before purchasing and dont tell me to read reviews before purchasing coz everyone have his own needs

Cannot break IOS5 on iPhone 4. Did the JB, did the reboot, got the brown cydia icon, it runs initially, starts downloading stuff, says reloading data, then exits and will not restart after that. I can now reboot the phone using redsn0w, but Cydia will just say loading... for a few secs then die. Any help?

I bought an Iphone 4 recently and it had 4.3.3 on it. Sweet! Untethered jailbreak. I want to give ios 5 jailbreak a go, but am afraid I will not be able to go back to 4.3.3 I notice in cydia it says it has shsh for 4.3.5 which was a tethered jailbreak, but no the shsh for ios 4.3.3. does anyone know if I jailbreak, worst case will I be able to go back to 4.3.3 or is 4.3.5 the lowest I can go back to because of what cydia says?

i have tried a few times to jailbreak my iphone 4 from sprint and every time it gets to waiting for rebot it dont do anything and i have to restart my iphone. anyone know what im doing wrong? im new to this. thanks

Okay, I don't understand what is taking so long to Jailbreak the A5 chip. It's been out for several months and yet there isn't a single jailbreak for it. I don't mean to sound ungreatful but I am really frustrated that this has taken so long. I have an iPhone 4S AND an iPad 2. No jailbreak, no sign of one hitting anytime soon and no one seems to be working that hard to get one out. Come on guys, I've donated at least $300 over the years and I'd like a jailbreak sometime soon.

What I don't understand is why no-one has responded to my above question. Seriously everyone bitching about getting untethered and 4s jailbreak but no-one can spare 2 seconds to answer a simple question.

Just do the untethered jailbreak for 4.3.3.... That's the smart thing to do atleast for now.....

No. Cydia only has 4.3.5, so you cannot downgrade. Stick with your 4.3.3 and jailbreak it with jailbreakme or whatever available out there.

You can also try using tinyumbrella to back up your 4.3.3 to Cydia and see if they are willing to sign for it. I suppose you already knew how to verify you ssh blob?

that's happening to me to when you go on cydia does it say this device is in the pending tss queue? cause its not fully jail broken and i don't know how to get rid of it its been weeks.

Yea stop complaining.. Ur worthless.. Apple will release 5.0.1 really really soon like in couple of weeks so it be stupid of them public jb for a version that eats up battery.. Stop being pathetic!

You can. Use iFaith to back up your phone (it extracts your SHSH-blob and signs a IPSW-file with it, ready to just easily install with Itunes).I did. It worked.

Please help me. I follow the instruction on redsn0w tool to jailbreak my ip 3gs, ios 5. When the process is at DFU mode (release power button and hold home button in 15 seconds), my ip powered off and then I cannot power it on again.
